Ask Anywhere touchpoint - Generate QR code

The QR code is an increasingly popular channel thanks to COVID19 that promoted the use of contactless channels. Even after the pandamic it's still surging and more and more customers are actively scanning them. To generate your own QR code for your Ask Anywhere touchpoint, you first need to collect your Ask Anywhere URL and add the relevant metadata if needed.

This link can then be linked to a QR code. There are many tools online to do this, but it is important to keep the following differences in mind between static and dynamic QR codes:

  1. Static QR codes:
    1. Most of the times available for free
    2. Not possible to change the link behind the QR code afterwards (which might implicate reprinting all your POS material.
    3. Often, there are no statistics available on how many times the QR code was scanned, which leaves you in the dark on your response rates
  1. Dynamic QR codes:
    1. Most of the times a paid service
    2. Possibility to easily switch your links in case of a mistake or if you want to send a new survey via the same promo material.
    3. Statistics on devices, number of scans, ... give you the possibility to track the effectiveness of your QR surveys and to calculate the response rate on scanning based on the answers that came in via Hello Customer: (Survey answers)/(Amount of times the QR code got scanned)
